BOMBILLA’S LENGTH: 6.3″ inches (16 cm) – 2 FREE Cloth Filters
YERBERA´S CAPACITY: Will hold aprox 120 grs of dried loose Yerba.
Given the fact that a mate drinker should fill 2/3 of any recipient with loose dried yerba, this 2oz measure shown in bold above is based on this traditional rule.
When you fill your gourd, remember to leave a slight slope at the bottom. This is where you insert the bombilla before you carefully pour the water (not boiling) for each serving cycle. If this is your first time dealing with mate gourds, we strongly suggest you read this article.
We also recommend this this one in case you have never brewed your yerba the traditional way. This is important because by brewing your mate the traditional way you will maximize your intake of all the vitamins and minerals which are present on the mate tea.
