Differences between “La Merced” versions:

The different types of yerba mate that “La Merced” produces are related to the origin of the harvest.

The further south, due to the characteristics of the soil, the yerba is softer, and the further north is stronger.

Generally the milder versions are called “De Campo” and the stronger “De Monte”.

So, in order of least to greatest intensity we have “Campo Sur” (the most recent variety), “Campo” and “Monte”, the latter being the strongest.

“Campo Monte” is an intermediate mixed variety meant for those who do not like extremes.

On the other hand, we have the “Barbacuá” variety which is a yerba mate with a smoky tone.
