“Arapeguá” Yerba mate is the main product of the Biodynamic Cooperative “La Abundancia”.
Currently the farms that are dedicated to this crop are: the farm The Lapacho, Caá Porá, Don Bruno José and Los Cedritos.
“Arapeguá” is a yerba mate with a long lasting flavor, very fresh, with a slightly bitter finish. The milling is very well balanced, highlighting the size of its leaves and the right amount of dust. It has 24 months of aging. It is perfect for those who love soft unsmoked yerbas with character.
It is a product of the Biodynamic Agriculture, which promotes the integration between the human being, the animal kingdom, the vegetable and the soil, with the objective of forming an agricultural individuality that achieves its self sustainability, both in the productive aspect as in the economic, strengthening the skills of the agricultural producer and relations with their environment.
Biodynamic agriculture is a method of Organic farming that applies a holistic understanding of life processes. As one of the first sustainable agriculture movements, it treats soil fertility, plant growth, and livestock care as ecologically interrelated tasks emphasizing spiritual and cosmic perspectives.
The basic idea of Biodynamic farming is the treatment of animals, crops and soil as a single system in a sustainable way.

YERBA MATE CHARACTERISTICS
Production: This ia an organic yerba mate. Organic yerbas have no pesticides, herbicides or fungicides. Also, they do not have artificial flavors or ingredients of any kind. The packaging material that is used with the organic teas is also organic, as the paper that is used is recycled and biodegradable and the ink is water based.
Origins: Produced by a small and independent producer in Misiones, the land of the Yerba Mate.
Aging: Usually the aging process for the organic teas are longer than the regular therefore the flavor and aroma is better. It also makes the yerba mate less acidic.
