The nylon filter is an essential accessory for any yerba mate drinker, designed to significantly enhance the filtering capability of your bombilla. By adding this filter, you ensure that no loose yerba mate particles reach your mouth—only the smooth flow of water. This additional filter not only improves the clarity of your drink but also subtly refines the flavor, giving it a more delicate taste.

While it’s versatile enough to be used with any bombilla, it’s especially recommended for bamboo cane bombillas, where it provides optimal performance.

To use this filter, simply insert the straw into the mesh bag and adjust the seal to your bombilla – straw so it fits well (see pics).  Once this is done, cut the excess of the plastic seal and start using!  Each filter will be good for approximately 3 to 4 months, depending on use. It works great with bamboo bombillas. 

You will notice it is time to get it off when color gets really dark and the filter gradually loses flexibility and hardens.
