ALL orders originate in Argentina therefore ALL orders are basically INTERNATIONAL orders.
There is no such thing as a DOMESTIC order.
When you are looking at the shipping costs of your purchase, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you consider
the weight of the items rather than the cost of them. All shipping charges are based on weight.
At times the shipping costs may even be higher than the cost of the items you purchased.
Yerba Mate tea is heavy and when you order 1 kg. or more the weight begins to add up thus causing the
shipping charges to go higher.
We do not charge a handling fee on any of our purchases therefore the shipping charges are our actual costs to ship to you.
We could ship everything by sea to our warehouse first and that would put the shipping costs down.
However the quality of the tea could suffer during transit. It takes longer to ship by sea and the tea
breaks down into dust when it is transported for a long period of time. We prefer that our customers
receive the freshest tea possible which is why we ship it by air.
On the other hand the shipping costs for the bombillas (straws) and gourds (cups) are very reasonable
because they weigh almost nothing.
It is also possible that you may find regular teas (not organic) with a lower item cost than ours. More than likely these teas have been ordered in large quantities and are left in warehouses for an undetermined amount of time.
